Ingredients
2 cups (250g) plain flour
1.5 cups (460g) sugar
3/4 cup (90g) cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup (250ml) water
1 cup (250ml) non-dairy milk
2 tbsp ground flaxseed or chia
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
1/2 cup chopped Walnuts (optional)
Directions
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C. Line 20cmx30cm baking tray with baking paper.
In a large bowl stir together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, flaxseed (or chia) and salt. Pour in water, non-dairy milk and vanilla; mix until well blended. Optionally you can add in the walnuts now if needed and fold through Spread evenly in a baking tray.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in the preheated oven until the top is no longer shiny. Let cool for at least 10 minutes before cutting into squares.
Optional: You can melt your favourite vegan chocolate and pour it over the top of the brownie as a sauce. Great served with strawberries!
