Are you looking for a refreshing, tangy treat to beat the summer heat? Look no further! I guide you through the steps to make a delicious mangonada. This mouthwatering Mexican-inspired beverage combines the sweetness of ripe mangoes with the tanginess of lime and the spicy kick of chilli powder.
Ingredients
2 ripe mangoes, peeled and diced
2 cups of mango juice
1/4 cup of lime juice
2 tablespoons of chamoy sauce
2 tablespoons of Tajin chilli powder
1 cup of ice
Directions
Start by peeling and dicing the ripe mangoes. Make sure to remove any pit or fibrous parts. Place the diced mangoes in a blender or food processor.
Add the mango juice, lime juice, chamoy sauce, and Tajin chilli powder to the blender or food processor with the diced mangoes. Blend all the ingredients until you achieve a smooth and creamy consistency.
Pour the blended mixture into a container and refrigerate for about 30 minutes to allow the flavours to meld together and for the mixture to chill correctly.
Once the mixture is chilled correctly, remove it from the refrigerator. Fill glasses with ice and pour the mangonada mixture over the ice. Garnish with a sprinkle of Tajin chilli powder and a slice of lime if desired. Now, sit back, relax, and savour the wonderful flavours of your homemade mangonada.
