Rich and delicious one-bowl vegan chocolate brownies. These are low in fat and extremely delicate chocolate brownies and are best served with non-dairy ice cream!
Ingredients
- 2 cups (250g) plain flour
- 1.5 cups (460g) sugar
- 3/4 cup (90g) cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup (250ml) water
- 1 cup (250ml) non-dairy milk
- 2 tbsp ground flaxseed or chia
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 1/2 cup chopped Walnuts (optional)
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees 20cm x 30cm baking tray with baking paper.
- In a large bowl stir together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, flaxseed (or chia) and salt. Pour in water, non-dairy milk and vanilla; mix until well blended. Optionally you can add in the walnuts now if needed and fold through Spread evenly in a baking tray.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in the preheated oven until the top is no longer shiny. Let cool for at least 10 minutes before cutting into squares.
- Optional: You can melt your favourite vegan chocolate and pour it over the top of the brownie as a sauce. Great served with strawberries!
